Umang 2025

A Proud Moment at Umang 2025. On January 11, members of Happy2Age participated in Umang 2025, a talent show for senior citizens. It was a moment of immense pride, as all 13 participants dedicated their time and effort to perfecting their performance. More than just a dance competition, this event was a reminder that age is just a number with motivation and determination, anything is possible. Along the way, we discovered their love for dancing especially to classic hindi songs which inspired us to add fun movement exercises with throw balls, scarves, and Zumba elements for an engaging workout. Our fun and interactive movement routine is helping seniors in many ways. Tossing and catching the ball keeps their motor skills sharp, while holding and passing it strengthens their hands and fingers, reducing stiffness. The playful nature of these activities keeps everyone engaged, making exercise feel enjoyable rather than just an excercise. Shifting weight while handling the ball is improving balance and stability, helping to prevent falls. Partner and group exercises are bringing people together, fostering a sense of community. At the same time, coordinating movements with the ball is sharpening focus, memory, and overall mental agility. With gentle resistance training using small balls, seniors are building muscle strength without straining their joints, making fitness both safe and effective.
